Honest, transparent pricing

Drains Fix coordination costs you nothing. You only pay the independent licensed contractor for the work they perform — with a free written estimate before any chargeable work begins.

How pricing works

A clear, no-surprise structure built around your control of the spend.

Coordination is free

Calling, requesting service, and being matched with an available independent licensed contractor costs you nothing. We are paid by the contractor network — never by you.

Free written estimate

The dispatched contractor inspects the situation on-site at no cost, then gives you a written estimate. You see the full price before any chargeable work begins.

You decide what's next

Approve the estimate and the contractor proceeds. Decline it — no charge, no pressure, no obligation. The decision is always yours.

⚠ About these prices

The price ranges shown below are typical market ranges in Greater Montreal for reference only. Drains Fix is not a plumber and does not set, charge, or collect the price for any plumbing work. Final pricing is determined entirely by the independent licensed contractor dispatched to your address, and is subject to:

  • The actual on-site diagnosis;
  • The contractor's own rates, materials, and warranties;
  • The time of day (after-hours, weekend, holiday rates may apply);
  • The complexity, accessibility, and scope of the work.

All payment, invoicing, and warranty arrangements are strictly between you and the independent contractor.

Pricing questions

Is there really no charge to call?

Correct. Calls to our coordination line are free, even for emergency dispatch. There is no charge until you approve a written estimate from the independent contractor on-site.

Why are the prices a range and not exact?

Because every plumbing situation is different — the actual scope, accessibility, materials, and time-of-day all affect the final price. The contractor sees what's there and prices accordingly. The ranges shown here are reference data from the typical Montreal market; your contractor's quote is what counts.

What if I disagree with the estimate?

You decline it. No charge. You can also ask the contractor to explain the breakdown, or call us back and we'll coordinate a second independent contractor for a different opinion.

Do you take a cut of what I pay?

Drains Fix has a coordination arrangement with the independent contractor network, paid by the contractors — not by you. You pay the contractor only what's on their written estimate. Our coordination fee is never added to your invoice and is not your responsibility.

Are there subsidies or rebates available?

Yes — for example, the City of Montreal offers a substantial rebate for backwater valve installation. The dispatched contractor will tell you what applies in your borough and help with the paperwork.

Will you ever charge me anything?

No. Drains Fix does not charge customers anything. Any chargeable work and any invoice for that work comes directly from the independent licensed contractor.

Are insurance claims supported?

The independent contractor can provide a detailed invoice and documentation typically accepted by Quebec insurers. We recommend confirming coverage with your insurer before work begins.
