Hampstead and Montreal West are mostly early 20th-century single-family homes on quiet tree-lined streets, while Côte-Saint-Luc has postwar bungalows, split-levels and high-rise condos. The older homes see roots and aging laterals, the high-rises see leaks between units.
All three are separate municipalities with their own building rules. A contractor can check whether your backwater valve meets what your town requires.
Tell the coordinator what you see. The right contractor is matched to the problem.
